Embakasi Garrison Secondary School started in the year 2010 with only form 1 class which had 7 students. It was located at Primary section. The school had 3 TSC teachers; the principal, the deputy principal and one teacher. The sponsor (KDF) gave 2 teachers and the BOM gave 3 teachers. There were three rooms in the school where one room was used as an office; the second room was used as staffroom and the third room as a classroom. The secondary shifted to the current location in 2012.The school had only the ground floor with 8 classrooms and 4 offices which were constructed by the KDF. The CDF made first floor with 3 classrooms, a computer laboratory, a Library, the main staffroom, the principal’s office, boardroom, teachers’ kitchen and some offices. The sponsor has come in handy by doing a facelift on painting the school, putting tiles and constructing two modern ablution blocks; one for girls and the other for boys. The sponsor has also constructed a modern science laboratory that is equipped. Currently the school has 21 TSC teachers, 5 BOM teachers and 10 support staff. The current number of students stands at 417 with 250 boys and 167 girls.
